From 24 to 28 May 2021 the international machine tool industry will meet physically and live at the Expocentre exhibition centre in Moscow despite the pandemic-related restrictions. To the tune of 600 exhibitors from 25 countries will showcase their innovations, technologies and equipment in metal working on more than 30,000 square metres. The trade fair with science conference is supported by the Russian Ministry for Industry and Trade, the Russian Union of Engineers, the Council of the Russian Federation as well as the Russian Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

Metalloobrabotka is among the ten leading machine tool exhibitions worldwide and the leading trade fair in Eastern Europe and the CIS. Since its first edition in 1984 it has become established as the communication platform for decision-makers, leading producers, upstream suppliers, dealers and all parties interested in the machine tool sector and metal working technologies.

Over the course of five trade fair days suppliers of technology solutions and highlights will be available for personal dialogue with the expert audience, including renowned Russian exhibitors such as CNC-Tulamash, the Kalashnikov Group, Laser Center, NPK Morsvyazavtomatika, Sasta, the STAN Group, Stankoprom, and Stan-Samara. Participating international industry leaders include such firms as AMADA, Galika AG, Hermle WWE AG, Hoffman Professional Tools, Horn, Mazak, Mitsubishi Electric Europe B.V., Salvagnini Italia SPA, and Trumpf.

    International joint participations

Also featuring prominently at Metalloobrabotka 2021 will be the international national pavilions from Germany, Italy, France, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Switzerland. Peter Schmitz, Director Official Participations at Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, looks to the re-start of the trade fair in Moscow with optimism: “We and our partner Expocentre are extremely delighted with the avid international exhibitor participation. Direct contacts and the exchange on site are indispensable to our customers and partners. All of this is made possible by a well thought-out hygiene and infection protection concept because the health and safety of our trade visitors and exhibitors is, of course, the highest priority for us.”

In addition to the international participations Metalloobrabotka specifically targets German companies with an official joint stand organised by the Messe Düsseldorf Group. Numerous participating enterprises, including first-time exhibitors, will thus be given the opportunity to exhibit their innovations at attractive special terms on the shared exhibition area and strengthen their position on the growth market that is Russia.

New: Industry 4.0, Additive Manufacturing and 3D solutions hall 3

The segment “Industry 4.0”, organised by Expocentre AO with the support of the National Union of Metalworking Equipment and Tool Suppliers, was reorganised for the exhibitors and visitors of Metalloobrabotka 2021 for an even more coherent layout. The sections “Additive Manufacturing and 3D Solutions” were also developed further to pool the producers and users of professional and industrial 3D solutions at Pavilion No. 8 (Hall 3) in one place thereby facilitating experience exchange as well as a joint development of the industry.

The 3D-Industry Conference incorporated into the event will for the first time be streamed live on YouTube with this hybrid format. This project involves representatives from the Russian Ministry for Industry and Trade and members of the Additive Technology Development Association (Almaz-Antey Concern, Rusatom – Additive Technologies, Roscosmos, Gazprom PAO and Rostec State Corporation). Furthermore, Metalloobrabotka 2021 will see the extended WorldSkills Russia National Team compete in the categories CNC-turning, CMC-milling, Additive Manufacturing and Construction Metal Work for the first time.

    Trade fairs with safety

The leading Russian trade fair company and organiser of Metalloobrabotka Expocentre has worked out a hygiene and infection protection concept based on the current Corona Protection Ordinance in order to ensure all required health precautions and distancing rules at all forthcoming events at the Moscow location. Wider aisles and entrance areas as well as a thoroughly researched routing make for easy compliance with the minimum distance of 1.5 m. A high number of sanitizer dispensers were installed. Special guides ensure that crowding of visitors is avoided from the outset and hygiene rules such as the wearing of masks covering the mouth and nose are adhered to correctly.

    Accompanying science conference

Concurrently with Metalloobrabotka experts will meet at the accompanying scientific conference where they can find out about technological innovations and benefit from a thematically versatile programme.

The leading trade fair is organised by Messe Düsseldorf, its subsidiary company Messe Düsseldorf Moscow and the leading Russian trade fair company Expocentre.
